Having known Jonathan Lee for several years now, this was a fun and enjoyable interview for me – as it’s always rewarding to see people move on and achieve outstanding goals in their career – particularly when the goals once seemed like little more than a pipe-dream.
Jon is a broker with Mortgage Choice and has been building his business from strength to strength over the past few years – whereby he has now established a flagship store in Melbourne’s inner south-west, the benefits of which have already been numerous.
As is often the case in mortgage broking, you tend to ‘pay your dues’ in the first year (or thereabouts) as you learn the technical skills and build your pipeline. This was certainly Jon’s experience, and now he is seeing a very solid return on his investment.
Post interview, Jon and I spent some more time talking, and he mentioned that he is currently getting about 3 good quality ‘walk-in’ enquiries per week, simply because of his well-presented store and fantastic location. These enquiries alone cover the annual rent for Jon, let alone the additional enquiries he generates.
